Get ready to tear up your local road course track with this new carbon fiber oval chassis conversion for the Losi Micro-B.
This kit extends the stock wheelbase of the Losi Micro-B by about 1", which coincidentally (or not) makes the wheelbase a perfect match for the recently launched HackFab 1/18 series of bodies. They consist of the original BRP SC18 V2 bodies that used to dominate the mini tracks a decade or so ago. HackFab has brought them back including the GTP, Outlaw Wedge late model, COT NASCAR, SuperTruck, SS Muscle car, with potentially more to come.
Using inspiration for the Mini Omni kit we made for the Losi Mini-B/Mini-T 2.0, this conversion is a scaled down replica of that with some twists. It features a transverse-battery mounted carbon fiber chassis, along with carbon bumper and rear body mount.
The center mounted battery retaining system uses O-rings like in some of the larger buggies. They hold a slightly larger than stock battery such as the Helios 600mah 2s lipo as shown in these photos. The battery position is adjustable forward/backward depending what electronics you are running and how you prefer the weight to be distributed.
The stock electronics of the Micro-B features a 2-in-1 ESC/Receiver that has the lower half of the esc/rx unit molded into the upper deck/battery retainer. We have included a 3d printed replacement lower esc/rx case in this kit. It will need to be secured with 2 sided tape like traditional esc mounting.
We also are including a custom designed, black anodized aluminum kickup wedge/bumper mount. This places the front suspension components at a similar caster angle to stock. We also had to design a black anodized aluminum rear D-block/pivot block that allows our carbon chassis to pass through it to extend to the rear body mount.
